Year 11 :Apprenticeship Week

Dear All,
Swansea Council’s Building Services will be advertising for this year’s trade apprenticeships on the 6th February to coincide with the start of the National Apprenticeship Week.
Typically, the Council will recruit for the following trades:
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Carpentry
- Bricklayers
- Plasterers
The exact number of apprenticeship roles for each trade will be confirmed on the day.
As in previous years, we would like to invite work coaches/mentors and their interested candidates/clients to attend a “How To” session with our Building Services team where they will explain the whole process involved from the application form, telephone interview, testing and face 2 face interviews. This will be an online Microsoft Teams session.
Please be aware that the entry criteria for trade apprenticeship in Wales has changed please see attached information on what is now required.
The “How To” session will be held Wednesday 1st February 4.30pm-5.30pm, there will be an opportunity for a Q&A session at the end.

Please feel free to forward this invite to anyone you feel will benefit from attending this session, or if there are other suitable people within your organisation that would like to attend.
We will be recording the session so those individuals that have been invited but were not able to attend can watch/listen to the recording in their own time.
